Grandmother cooking Thokku traditionally

"True flavour can never be rushed."

Our Story

A Recipe Passed Down
Through Generations

Every jar of Thokku begins not in our kitchen — but in memory. In the sizzle of a seasoned iron kadai, in the scent of red chilies blooming in sesame oil, in the careful hands of those who came before us.

We make Thokku the way it has always been made: slowly, deliberately, with fresh ingredients and no shortcuts. Each small batch is a love letter to South Indian tradition.

From Paati's handwritten recipe book —
“First, let the mustard seeds dance. Then let the chillies sing. Only when the oil turns fragrant — then you begin.”
